Verizon Droid 2 Keypad not working

Cell Phone Parts, Cell Phone Repair

I have the new Verizon Droid 2 and I use qwerty keypad quite a bit.  Lately I noticed that some of the keys don’t always respond properly or I have to press them really hard for them to register.  I have already been to Verizon and they tell me that I have water damage because the red dot on the phone is red.  So that means I’m on my own to either fix it or buy a new one.  Has anyone had the same problem and if so what did you do?

Any feedback would be appreciated.  Thanks,

A lot of people are often surprised when they are told that their cell phone is water damaged! That’s because our cell phone is always attached to us and if you think about it, we put them through hell. We wash our hands and grab the phone with our wet hands and don’t think that the tiny bit of water will possibly find it’s way inside the phone. Granted most of the time it will not but little by little it will. Some other common ways people get their cell phone wet is simply sweating on the phone while in a conversation or putting their cellphone in the car’s cup holder not realizing the drink in the other cup holder is dripping to the bottom and getting on the phone.

Sorry I am rambling but it’s important to let people know this information hoping they are more careful next time and this doesn’t happen to them.

As far as your cell phone, it sounds like the water damage is not too bad, otherwise you would be experiencing other problems with the phone. I recommend that you have the phone checked out by a cell phone repair center and ask them to perform a full cell phone water damage cleaning on your Motorola Droid 2. This will stop any other problems and malfunctions from happening and also if there are any shorts in the phone from the corrosion this will take care of that also.

If you are thinking about fixing the cell phone yourself, you can find high quality oem cell phone parts at http://www.oemcellphoneparts.com
